Our Story
Where did Gator Glass come from?
I was born and raised in the swampland of North East Florida. That’s where photography first grabbed ahold of me and never let go. I have learned more about the art of photography shooting on the Saint Johns River on those early mornings, blazing hot muggy days and those cool sweet evenings. Murphy’s Creek has molded me as a photographer. I was trying to figure out a unique name that when asked this question, it would have a meaning behind it. Wakeboarding photography is where it all started. Those early mornings out on the water seemed as if we were riding on glass and with Murphy’s Creek having a HEALTHY population of Gators, it only made since to merge the two into a name and brand that best described me. My style of photography is to capture what our brains can’t understand in the action. I love the detailed in some of God’s greatest creations (Land, Animals, Sunrise, Sunsets, Etc.). With that being said I hope to capture any idea that you might have in mind with a touch of the Gator Glass Photography brand stamped on it!
Once photography started to grow for me I had to turn to a bigger market for action photography. For me, that was off-road action; mud trucks, ATV’s and UTV’s. There are mud parks, trails, and tons of places for these machines to travel and ride. This is where I started to step my game up and really understand how I was going to build my brand as a whole. While understanding the off-road industry I started to not only do work from some big time mud parks like Muddy Bottoms in Springhill, LA; I also had the privilege to work with Gator Waders for their product photography. As far as understanding a business and truly building a brand this is where it happened in my photography career.
Currently I work and live in Fort Worth, TX. Rodeo photography has taught me so much about the fine details and how to not over look some of the simple things. This is where I started to explore videography and it was time to upgrade my equipment. I took on photography full time and I haven’t looked back since. Rodeo photography has allowed me to meet so many incredible people along my journey. What I love most about rodeos is that it is a live event and you never know what you are going to see. Every single rodeo is unique and special in its own way. The power in the bulls and broncs is something I will always enjoy capturing. I can only hope that rodeos across the country will go on for generations and generations and someone will be able to tell a story from behind the camera lens.
